WineGrapes Australia - Fragile to Agile

Client Synopsis

WineGrapes Australia

Organisation Overview

In 1992, a small group of McLaren Vale growers decided to join forces. With a shared passion, they saw value in selling their grapes as a collective rather than individually. And so, Winegrapes Australia was established – a collective dedicated to marketing and selling their grapes.

Now, more than 20 years later, the business has grown to include many growers from across South Australia, with an expanded offering of both grape varieties and bulk wine. Wholly owned by growers, Winegrapes is dedicated to producing some of Australia’s finest grapes, and now, exceptional wines tailor made to your requirements.

Winegrapes Australia is dedicated to marketing and selling premium wine grapes and bulk wine parcels from the most recognised regions across South Australia, direct from its extensive network of growers. Backed by many years’ industry experience, Winegrapes Australia mission is to foster strong relationships to help grow not only the finest grapes, but the future of Australian wine.

Fragile to Agile Engagement

WineGrapes was about to embark on a material investment in a new online presence (website and members’ portal redevelopment) and had drawn up a short-list of 3 vendors you are considering for this investment. Given the significance of this investment they desired an independent assessment of the vendors on the short-list before proceeding further and engaged Fragile to Agile, given its strict vendor neutrality, for this purpose.

The vetting covered by this engagement included a general assessment of the capabilities and suitability of the vendors short listed. The outcome of this vetting was reported back via a brief report, being approximately one-page per vendor plus summary and recommendation.
