Client Synopsis

Tilbrook Rasheed

Organisation Overview

Since its formation in 1994, Tilbrook Rasheed has become one of Adelaide’s most dynamic and reputable Chartered Accounting firms. The firm was formed with a clear vision of creating a unique accounting firm. This vision has been achieved by staying true to its values and core philosophy, of always adding value to our clients through efficient, high quality services across a wide range of industries.

Today Tilbrook Rasheed has nine partners and around 55 professional and administration staff, and has become one of Adelaide’s most dynamic and reputable mid-size Chartered Accounting firms.

Fragile to Agile Engagement

We were initially engaged by the senior partner with responsibility for IT at Tilbrook Rasheed (TR), Richard Bund. The initial triggers for our engagement were a material loss of business time due to a crypto locker attach and a roadmap proposed by their IT provider on which they desired an independent assessment.

We tailored our standard approach to roadmap development for SME scaled organisations to meet these needs. We first determined the strategic goals for TR and developed a business capability model for their organisation. We then assessed the current technology environment and the changes proposed by their IT provided and determined than whilst the proposed changes would address some tactical issues, particularly the security vulnerability, it would do so at the cost of making required technical changes to support the longer-term goals more difficult and costly. We proposed an alternative approach that addressed the tactical imperatives while also moving TR closer to its desired target state. This proposal was accepted and successfully implemented.
